This application is ONLY for high school students applying to the SBU Academy for high school dual enrollment. If you are a senior or high school graduate and you want to submit a college application for SBU, please follow this general application link. Sophomore applicants for SBU Academy are required to hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Junior and Senior applicants for Dual Credit are required to hold a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If you are not certain of your GPA, you may check with your counselor or teacher before completing this form. If your GPA does not meet that requirement, then we would love to have you apply next year if you meet the GPA requirement then!

If you wish to have qualified tuition charges and payment information reported to the IRS without penalties, your Social Security Number is needed, even if you do not plan to use the information for federal income tax credits. If you do not provide your Social Security Number, you may be subject to a penalty imposed by the IRS according to IRS federal regulation ยง1.60505-1. Your Social Security Number will not be used as your student identification number. Voluntary: Information gathered will be used for compiling institutional data. It will be kept confidential and WILL NOT be used as a factor in the admissions process. Failing to provide this information will not result in any adverse treatment of the applicant. If you do not know your SSN, you may complete this application and call the SBU Office of Admissions at 417-328-1810 when you have your SSN available. If you do not have a SSN, then you may leave this blank.
